VisitFootball

VisitFootball is a football ticketing and travel platform serving fans across Europe in three languages. I lead full-stack development on it: the storefront, the checkout, the content backend, the APIs and the infrastructure everything runs on.

My role

As lead developer I do more than write features. I manage the release workflow across development, staging and production, review and coordinate the work of other developers, and collaborate daily with product, operations, design and SEO specialists to turn commercial requirements into shipped software.

What I work on

• The storefront: fast, SEO-friendly match and landing pages built with Next.js and server-side rendering, designed to rank well in every supported language.
• Checkout and payments: online payment flows built for correctness and reliability. This is revenue-critical code, so it gets treated that way.
• Content and localization: a Strapi-based backend powering multilingual content and editorial workflows.
• Automation: order documents, transactional email and scheduled background jobs that keep operations running without manual work.
• APIs: authenticated services that expose platform data cleanly, with localization and search built in.
• Infrastructure and production: deployments, monitoring and troubleshooting across servers, databases, queues and the CDN layer.

The stack

Next.js with TypeScript on the frontend, Strapi v4 with PostgreSQL and Redis on the backend, deployed across Vercel and DigitalOcean behind Nginx and Cloudflare.

Why it matters

This is a real commercial product with paying customers, uptime expectations and SEO that directly affects revenue. Working on it means owning sensitive code, balancing stability against delivery speed, and keeping production healthy. Not just shipping features and walking away.
